Like a Good Challenge?
Participate in the Chairperson's Challenge to learn new patterns and inspire creativity.
Chairperson's Challenge Quilts for 2023 - 2024 will be quite different from challenges in the past. Our new directory will include a photo of each member. During the coming year, get to know your fellow quilters. Put a name to the face!
At the 2024 Aril Tea, everyone will be given a page of photos that ARE NOT in alphabetical order. The challenge is to write the name (first, last, or both) for the person in each picture.
The person who knows the most names gets a free membership for 2024 - 2025 year. The person who knows the second most will have dues reduced by $20, and the person who knows the third most will have dues decreased by $10.

Holiday Block: Christmas Traditions
With permission from the designer, Debbie Roberts, our member,
Joanne Granum presented Chino Valley Quilters members with a new idea: a challenging Holiday Block of the Month quilt based on Debbie Robert's Christmas Traditions pattern. There are presently nineteen members signed up for this project and we are excited to see the finished products. We have completed three blocks and will do block number four this month. See our monthly blocks here. Each month, participating members receive instructions to make one block and a variation of it, for a total of two blocks per month. There will be 32 blocks total, plus a center-focus block. The center block may be done in either hand or machine appliqué. Joanne provided each member who signed up with complete instructions for making the first two blocks. Cost for the pattern is $1 per month. We can't wait to see the beautiful holiday quilts when completed. For more information on Debbie Roberts and the Christmas Traditions pattern, refer to her book; Four Seasons at Minglewood here. |
