July, 2018June, 2018 -May, 2018 -Again this month, our members showed us how much talent thee is in this guild. Showing this month were; SandyMcGarry, Kathy Victor, Suzanne Melching, Carole Smith, Joanne Fitterer, Diane Grayson and Pam Kidd.
April, 2018 - No Show & TellSince this month was a sew-in, we did not have show & Tell. But below are a couple of pictures of the sew-in with quilt tops made.
March, 2018 - Show & TellFebruary, 2018 -Joyce Larson, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, presented further discussion on the merits of quilt appraisals. Joyce is a certified AQS quilt appraiser and she showed us many of her quilts and explained what made them more valuable from an appraisers point of view. She also did around 8 appraisals during the rest of the meeting and early afternoon.
We learned a lot from Joyce and those that had appraisals done are very happy with the results. One of the quilts appraised about $4,000.00 and, remember, without that appraisal it is only worth the price of a good blanket. January, 2018 |
